How your information stays private
We collect personal information to run your drug screening and report aggregate trends to the state. This page explains exactly who sees what, written in plain English. NDPA 2023 compliant.
Who sees your individual result
- You, on your KWADATIS dashboard and your downloadable certificate.
- Authorised staff at your institution who manage screening records, only for your institution's students.
- The laboratory that analyses your sample, identified only by your reference number.
- A counsellor, only if you ask to speak to one.
Who does not see your individual result
- NDLEA. The platform is aligned with NDLEA's proposal for regular screening. NDLEA receives only aggregate, anonymised state-level reports. They never receive your name, matric number, or individual result.
- Your sponsor. The person who pays your fees is never contacted about your result. Their phone number is held only for billing-related queries.
- Other institutions. Your records are private to the institution that registered you.
- Employers, NYSC, or anyone else unless you choose to share your downloaded certificate with them.
When we contact your next of kin
Your next of kin is contacted only in a medical emergency at the test centre. They are not contacted about your result, your enrolment, or anything administrative. Their phone number is stored encrypted and is never shared with NDLEA or third parties.
What we collect and why
- Your name, matric number, institution, course, level
- To verify your identity at the test centre and route your result to your institution.
- Date of birth, gender, nationality, state of origin, LGA
- For ID verification and to allow your state government to produce demographic trend reports. Identifying details are removed from those reports.
- Next of kin name and phone
- Medical-emergency contact only.
- Sponsor name and phone
- Billing-related queries only. Never contacted about your result.
- Email and phone
- How you sign in and how we send you receipts and result notifications.
- Your photograph and test result
- Printed on your screening certificate, which is yours to keep and share as you choose.
